Who we are
GatePermit.pro provides automatic licence-plate recognition for gates, barriers and restricted sites. We are the data controller for the information described here. For any privacy question or request, contact privacy@gatepermit.pro or use the contact form.
What we collect
Information you give us
When you submit the contact form we collect your name, email address, and optionally your site or company and a message. We collect nothing else about you that you do not deliberately type in.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the site we record a page visit: an anonymous randomly generated session identifier, the page you arrived from, your country, your device type (mobile, tablet or desktop), and — if you arrived from an advertisement — the campaign parameters in the link.
We do not store your IP address, and the session identifier is randomly generated rather than derived from anything that identifies you.
Why we use it, and on what legal basis
| Purpose | Data | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|---|
| Replying to your enquiry | Name, email, company, message | Steps taken at your request prior to a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) |
| Measuring how the site performs | Session, country, device, referrer | Legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) — no personal data is stored |
| Analytics and advertising measurement | Google Analytics cookies | Consent, Art. 6(1)(a) — where required, requested via the cookie banner |
Cookies
All cookies below are first-party except the Google Analytics ones, which are only set once you accept them where consent is required.
| Cookie | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
__s | Distinguishes one visit from another so we can count visitors. Contains a random value only. | Until the browser closes |
__ref | Remembers which advertisement or link brought you here, so we can tell which campaigns work. | 30 days |
__gdpr | Records whether your country requires a consent request. | Until the browser closes |
__consent | Remembers your cookie choice so you are not asked repeatedly. | 180 days |
_ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics — measures site usage. | Up to 2 years |
_gcl_* | Google Ads — measures whether an advertisement led to an enquiry. | Up to 90 days |
If you are in the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland, analytics and advertising cookies are disabled by default and set only after you accept them. Declining does not affect your use of the site or your ability to contact us.
Who we share it with
- Cloudflare — hosts the site and stores visit and enquiry records on our behalf.
- Telegram — used to alert our team that an enquiry has arrived. The alert contains what you submitted in the form.
- Google Workspace (Sheets) — enquiries are copied into a private spreadsheet, accessible only to our team, so we can review and follow them up.
- Google (Analytics and Ads) — receives usage data where you have accepted analytics cookies, or anonymous signals where you have not.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone else. Some of these providers operate outside your country; transfers rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, so we can follow up and keep a record of what was discussed. Visit records are kept for up to 14 months. Google Analytics data follows its own retention setting, currently 14 months.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it. You can also withdraw cookie consent at any time by clearing this site's cookies in your browser.
Write to privacy@gatepermit.pro and we will respond within 30 days. If you are unhappy with our response, you may complain to your national data protection authority.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page.
